Hi Folks,
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
New to the forum. I bought a 2018 PM Cargo Van 4 months ago and am now completing completing my camper conversion.
Looking for a recommendation for a compatible awning with a tent / screen-room option
that is reasonably priced. I see what's available but can anyone make a recommendation?
Considering ARB. Is there anything else I should be looking at?
Thanks,
Mako

Hi,
Have not camped yet.
This camper is designed for traveling for maybe a month at a time max, not full-time living as others are doing.
Has a queen bed and slide-out kitchen and 200 watt solar for off-grid use.
I anticipate we'll be mostly camping 1-2 nights in one place, as we travel the country sightseeing.

basically what I do then....usually set up in shady side of pmc....sun is not directly overhead....i have 2 awnings that use same poles but rarely ever put up awning.....i have rv type carpet I do not even carry.....suggest get blue tarp and do some traveling before putting money into awning room....use money for gas....your camping style will adept over time

caution leaving awning up overnight

Rain

Wind

awnings fragile

u will need to upgrade stakes for awnings, tents, etc...unbelievable how flimsy what comes with products....ground too soft to hold for pencil thin stake or ground like concrete and stakes just bend

which side or is it back has your slide out?

7 x 9 for $325 plus shipping is not very big when sun coming up or going down.....using rain not coming straight down

The canopy support is very good but rain still pools....would not leave it up and go to bed....any real wind 15 - 25 mile gusts hah

SunWave Fabric is super easy to install. Perfect fit, bright colors. I installed this by myself with the use of three ladders. It would have been faster with a helper but I was able to complete the install in an hour and 18 minutes.

The drop shade is interesting....if u got to have an awning the drop shade may make it useful.
