Did you ever document any problems before the 60,000 miles? Maybe Ram can goodwill some of the cost...
I bought it at 57,250 miles it had thrown a #2 cylinder misfire code at some point that the dealer had cleared. We had it inspected by a mechanic and they said it would be OK. No more error codes until it hatched going up a steep incline in Laramie Wyoming.

IF you look at my profile picture that is what the mechanic found in my oil pan after she hatched.
I think she dropped a valve you can see the broken piston head and yes this was the #2 piston.

Thats absolutely ridiculous, I wonder how they figure water got into the transmission if its a sealed unit. Only way would be through the breather at the top of the transmission, meaning you would have had to been in water higher than the wheels. Unless you popped the cap off the dip stick tube and literally poured water directly into it. If you actually drove that deep in water I can guarantee you would be having a lot more issues than just the transmission. Dealer is 100% full of crap on this one. Im really curious how they explained water got inside the transmission now

Agree.
To anyone else experiencing this "excuse", I would highly recommend you contact an oil/fluid analysis lab such as Blackstone to confirm the diagnosis of water intrusion.
They can overnite you the sample bottles, vaccuum pump and hose. All-in-less than a four day COMPLETE analysis.

Forgot to add: With the tubing and compact vacuum pump they send you, all you need to do is remove the "secret-dealer only" cap and shove the pump tube down the hole. Pump away to your sample bottle.
