Hey Everyone!!
About a year ago I fell in love with the ProMaster van! I wanted the big boy.. the High Roof 159" Extended Body. I wanted to make a camper out of it and hit the road and finally live free! Well.. free isn't always so free, so once reality set back in I got back to work and put my dreams aside.
Fast-forward to the present.. My Fiat Abarth is ready to go, and I don't have much budget for anything more expensive. Also, I'm a musician so I've got plenty of gear.. which is another reason the tiny Fiat has to go.
I searched high and low and found myself again looking at the ProMasters, except this time the PMC. TBH, I didn't like the ProMaster City, but little by little it started to grow on me. Even though I need as much cargo space as possible, I also need it to be efficient to keep running costs low, and I definitely wanted it to be garage-able so I don't have to unload my gear after a super late gig. Even the smallest wheelbase and shortest roof on the ProMaster Cargo Van doesn't appear to be garageable, so it almost seemed like a blessing that there was no other choice for my criteria.
Who knows.. maybe one day live out my old dreams and make the most of the space it has to offer and do something like this- http://www.tfltruck.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Danbury-dynamic-fiat-doblo-int.jpg
until then.. i gotta gig around with this thing and it looks to fit the bill.
Probably going to pick one up for around 21k
I want the cargo version, not the wagon, for ease of use when loading/unloading, but not having a backseat isn't the most comforting since this will be my daily driver.. Is it terribly expensive to install some kind of option, like a jumpseat, or even better yet.. a collapsible sofa bed with dot approved seatbelts?
sorry for so many questions.. i wasnt anticipating having to switch cars so soon.
Thanks for any advice!!!!!
