I apologize if this has been asked and answered already, but my searches failed to find it. I purchased my van used, and would like to find out exactly how it was built new. In other words what features and specs it come with, i.e. does it have a standard or heavy duty alternator? Is there a way to find out this information with my VIN number without going to the dealer?

I doubt it is available unless you pay a fee to a private company who specialize in such things. When you are forced to go to a dealer for this, ask for the build sheet as that will have lots more information. Good luck.

Not mine. I had gone to that site and since it listed mine as “window sticker unavailable” I thought it was not working, thus my comment, sorry.

Yes I wouldn’t want anyone to notice I had ordered the “Adult” lumbar seat or the "U-Connect(no Porn) 3 player” or the "salacious book rack" storage overhead. I want to keep my little secrets to myself..... jesum crow.... its just another van!
If I had wanted it that private I would have stored it in my NSA proof Iphone!

Only Edward Snowdon knows for sure! The FBI has hinted it is and Tim Cook plans to keep it so. Now if my van only had Apple Car Play or whatever, I could secretly play the Basement Tapes from Big Pink!

On topic- I believe it is at the bottom of the passenger seat pillar if it is the same as the upfitter connector?

90% of our vans can have their window sticker retrieved anonymously...

This is just a random VIN, but click though and add your VIN in place of the ...102890 linked below, and resend to at least get that much info

Pretty sure this only works for vans that haven't been sold yet. Once FCA is made area of the van no longer being in dealer inventory due to a sale, the link dies.

Mine doesn't show up either but in the past I have found it and printed it out. Might be a time or year constraint?

For a quick list go here:

http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html

On the left hand side of the page click on "Equipment Listing"

enter your VIN and click the SEARCH button.

On my browser (firefox) it opened a new window with the build info in PDF format.

Chrysler used to e-mail you a detailed build sheet that had all of the option codes (sometimes needed for ordering parts) and more detail on it if you fill out the form on this page:

http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/emailpage.html?appStr=wccs&titleStr=Contact+Dodge&familyStr=brand&franchise=D&actionURL=%252Fwccs%252Fbrand_forms%252Fus%252Fwebform.jsp&promotion=null&category=U

select customer assistance for the reason. In the description and include your complete VIN and ask for a build sheet.

First, Thanks for all the helpful and "humorous" responses. ;) This did work, after two hours and 3 phone calls to the help line. Seems the only thing the dealer set up with FCA was my email address. Vehicle still was registered with it's previous owner, although it was listed as being sold. My Information just didn't make it to Chrysler. So after getting that all taken care of, and numerous log outs and sign in's; they told me they would have to update their system. So I logged back into the system today, and part of the information showed up, but I was still missing my PM. So another call to the hotline, and we figured out they missed typed my email address. Got that fixed and tried it again. It still didn't work, so we double checked all the information again and supposedly there was an error in the VIN. Logged in again and was able to get the build information. Thanks for all the help everyone and a shout out to Dwight for the link!

Marvin02 - thanks for the link. It worked for my VIN.

Anyone know what the "4.5 additional gallons of gas" is about? It is listed on my vehicles info.
