  1. Shower Fan

    Promaster Builds and Conversions
Does anyone with dedicated shower stall in their van have a fan to the outside to help dry it out after the shower? For those of you who have a shower and don't have a fan, do you think it'd be helpful? I plan on storing clothes (hung up) in the shower when its not in use and I imagine the...

Here's a place for all those black friday deals you find and want to share with the community. Couple deals I've found so far: Nature's Head has 50$ off going through black friday. (https://www.natureshead.net/) Looks like WestMarine has 15% of just today, not sure if they will have better...

Wow looks great! I like your approach to the walls, very stylish. How will you bridge the gap between your bed walls and the rest of the walls? (also that is a very large TV for a van haha)

Huh? It's the same price as the Luan except the luan is unfinished and rough and I'd have to sand it to all **** to get it to paint nicely. MsNomer was just saying that the grain is nice and I was agreeing, but the look of the grain doesn't affect me, I just want something...

Yes it's plywood and it is beautiful. It's only 17$ a sheet too. I've been to the 6 shops in town that provide plywood and I'm just very unhappy with the selection and quality. This place like all the others has a pretty poor selection but the quality is at least decent. I'm going to try to...

Hey great documentation. Really enjoying how we all take different starting points for our builds. What kind of wood are you using for your walls and ceiling?

Any reason not to use one of the shower surrounds that that company offers for the walls? https://jazzsales.com/product/32-x-70-one-pc-surround-white/ It's kind of ugly and a bit expensive, but it may save quite the headache. I've never built an RV shower so I have no idea if there are major...

So I'm about to install my vinyl tomorrow and I'm really admiring your silicon around the edges. My floor is much thicker though and comes up to partway up those black triangles. I really have no idea what im going to do there. @Scalawag did you remove your floor insulation? I thought I...

Yeah I was talking about the blue light on your walls, looks like a PC fan or something. Thought it was a wall ventilation fan.

I only used one coat of 3m 90 spray on the van ceiling and one coat on the thinsulate itself. I waited 1 minute, then pushed it up onto the ceiling and just patted it down everywhere and it stuck. I put the white side on against the van and the black side facing the inside of the van.

Is that a fan on your wall? Where did you get it? I've been considering BB for the walls and ceiling, Luan is definitely lighter though. Tough decisions that are coming in the next couple weeks.

Looks great, I've heard to cut the vinyl as you lay it in because it stretches as you roll it on the adhesive, but yours seem to fit perfectly. Nice job.

Doesn't the isotherm work in all four seasons? It includes mixing valves and all that. I'll have to check out that Malaga @Baxsie posted. I'm curious if any of these hot water heaters are easy to drain after every use? Such as the isotherm with a mixing valve, i dont want to use more cold...

Some great info here afox! Thanks for positing. I am stunned at the price of that propane locker. Ideally I'd like to build my own propane locker as it doesn't seem very difficult and I'd like to locate it somewhere i can get to the valve from the living space. Still pondering all that...
  17. Where to install DC to DC charger?

    Electronics
Ah yeah, i was looking at that product, but I couldnt hook my panels up in series because it takes like max 24volts or something. I don't know why all of the combined DC to DC + MPPT limit the amount of voltage they can receive so heavily..

Which hot water heater did you get? I've been considering a propane heated one.
  19. Where to install DC to DC charger?

    Electronics
This is not the case with the renogy DC to DC charger, it does not sense the voltage and I've seen complaints elsewhere about it. You absolutely need an ignition trigger for that product.
  20. Fresh Water Tanks or Gray Water Tanks

What a clever idea. Where did you get tanks that size? I imagine they hang down low enough to connect the two tanks via a tube at below the cross struts.
