This looks like a brand labeled product. I think the orig is an ecowatt(?). We have one for competitive testing. Almost everything about it is mediocre at best. IIRC, the efficiency sucks, surge is non-existant, and the tracker is lousy. We were somewhat impressed w/ the packaging but its easy to make things small w/ a two fan tunnel heatsink design. It appears to be almost completely analog control and has a very underpowered processor. Reliability isn't proven either. Other than the all-in-one convenience factor IMO you'd still be better off w/ individual components and an inverter from one of the big names.

Went and found it on the shelf. Here is the insides. Can't find the meter/cover.

Thanks
From fishing days it was better to have a chart plotter and fish finder separate than together. So I get that.
Appreciate your obviously well formed opinion.
Along the same lines with brand labeling my 2 diesel Barking heaters are different brands but the same inside.
Enjoying seeing the dramatic improvements in these solar controller components as I learn, selecting from a plethora of choices and having simple requirements.
