Grab handles

Saw these front door grab handles on 2018 Ram Promaster.

Anyone know if they are available and would they fit on a 2016 Ram Promaster?

That is a great question. There would have to have been some change made from the earlier models. Those pillar covers come off pretty easily I found by trying to run some wires behind them. I think there is an airbag behind them too. So, again there would have to be some changes that secure the handles strongly enough to make them useful. Maybe someone who has them could chime in and describe how their's are attached.

Here is pic of 2017 Ram Promaster with air bags deployed. Doesn’t look like there are air bags in the pillars. But as you said would need a way to mount assist handles so they are sturdy. Maybe there is a reinforcement bracket like for the side sliding door grab handle. Hope somebody can answer. I would love to install these.

There are indeed front pillar air bags. You can see them in the pictures in the next few threads. Also they are described in the safety feature section of the van. See: https://www.ramtrucks.com/compare/de...Code=CUT201800

It would be nice to know if those 2 black mounts used existing holes? Trying to locate a photos like post 4 but in an older model.
