Thanks for that idea. So I pulled my UH3 single DIN radio, removed the screws on the clipboard and now can lift it out or up at the back or front. I’m thinking there is a bit of room under there for ?????? I would like it to have a handle and hinges perhaps it could be a small glove box for ??????? I have my old GPS base clipped into the clipboard but I feel there is potential there for something. Maybe not $120 for it to stand up and hold the iPad, but something........

I would think air conditioning is an engineering function so Scotty would be the one to adjust it.

I have become a fan of it. initially I thought, "this is useless the way its tilted." But I find its a great place to put that one piece of paper with addresses and phone numbers of the places along our route.

I use it all the time and I've opened up up as Ed described. It does need a good hinge and some kind of push latch to be really useful tho.

How about removing the clipboard and recessing a box (with a footprint the shape of the clipboard) into the opening?

It could be hinged at the back, and would allow inside storage. Switches (gotta have some switches!) could fit on the front panel, and the gps could still go on top, along with a clip!

I have found the clip useful for displaying campground slips. MY PM has a clear plastic clip on the left edge of the front window but I had the dealer remove it because it was rattling.

D@mn you good! Gotta think on this. I was thinking a recessed tupperware tray and the top replaced but there is very little room down there. Thanks Ed

I like the "hidden" aspect of it tho. A good place to hide money, passports, ID's, etc
