Any recommendations for (or against) dealers in California? We've decided on a list of options which will require a factory order, and the couple of dealers we've talked to so far don't seem to be able to get out of their own way to provide a quote.
(Central / SF Bay area would be ideal, but willing to travel to pick up if needed)
We just bought ours 2 days ago from http://www.jimmanningdodgechryslerjeep.com/ We drove 6 hours from Las Vegas because they had one with the features we wanted and a good price compared to anyone within 400 miles. It is a small town dealership and everyone was super nice and friendly. Ask for Manuel.
@Alexander, I ended up buying one from ontario used, and they took significantly less than asking.........but new, best prices around are huntington beach. Ps, if you buy used, don't rely on the whole "certified pre-owned" inspection......after driving around for about a month, I have a list of about a half a dozen warranty things I need to take it in for which were passed over on the "inspection".
I factory ordered my 159 HR from Todd Foster at South County Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/Ram in Gilroy, CA. Excellent price (well under MSRP, then factory discounts on top), easy to deal with and painless purchase. Our only challenge was the 4+ months from order to delivery, but I think in part that was the list of options we ordered. Recommended.
We bought our PM 3500 Window Van from South County CJDR also. Didn't custom order the vehicle but our experience was good. The MSRP was $44,200. We talked them down to $38,700 and then we had $3,250 in rebates.
Ended up paying $35,450. I felt pretty good about it.
When I bought my 2016 RAM pickup, I dealt with the internet manager that found me the exact truck I wanted to the last option and did not have to order.
Truck had 14 miles in odometer and sitting in a Dodge Ram lot in Phoenix. He had it trailer-ed in for me. Got same rebates and financing had it been on their lot.
His name is Chris Ramsey at Orange County RAM in Costa Mesa CA. (877) 422-5665 2929 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
He is aware of my up and coming order and is well versed in Promasters.
I'm about to find out how good South County is. We picked up our Promaster at the start of the November. The purchase process was fine. Today the plates show up and they screwed up the title. Hopefully they will be able to fix it without any effort on my part.
