Generic warning light

If illuminated, how does one identify the specific fault?

Not that one. There is another one named, literally, "Generic Warning Light." It covers low oil level, oil level sensor fail, time to change oil and a host of other things. Reading between the lines it looks like the rest of the message shows up in the "EVIC."

I will play with mine some, but since I do not have an illuminated lamp, probably can't help. All of the MOPAR products I have had you can get the trouble code by turning the ignition on and off 3 times in rapid succession, leaving it on the third time and the code shows up on the dash. Worked for all 3 of my Caravans, Intrepid and 2 Chrysler 300s (one of each body style, so really different cars). You don't need the spendy tool.
